Ordered the special meal set. You have a choice of eels on rice, salmon or tempura with either udon or soba (cold or hot). The meal came very quickly and it was delicious. Afterward, we ordered the appetizer, the house-made green tea creme bruise. It has a very good texture and good taste. By the way, the soba is also made in-house. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice. I highly recommend this place.

Went in here on a whim as I was looking for something nearby a market that looked tasty. Was completely blown away by the quality of the food. I had the seaweed salad and the tempura noodles. It wasn't your normal, off-the-shelf seaweed salad, but real stuff. The tempura was probably some of the best I've ever had, and the quality of the noodles and the broth were exquisite. Can't recommend this place enough. No idea why the rating isn't higher.

The experience here was awesome because my family went there and ordered many things such as cold soba noodles, tempura soba, and many more. The food was awesome and highly recommended. The service was awesome this was because sometimes there were long waits during meal times and the atmosphere was noisy when people were talking.

As a Japanese culture enthusiast, this was perfect. Perfect environment, peaceful and clean, great service. As someone who has had soba many times, including in Japan, this was the best soba I’ve had. The dashi was incredibly flavorful. I’m not a huge wasabi person but their wasabi was delicious. 11/10, I will be back soon

The sobaya is a Japanese restaurant, it is clean and has sanitizer on every table. The food is good and I ordered a udon, some duck and some dessert. The udon bowl is good, the texture is good and I like it. The restroom is clean. The waiter is ok. The food is delicious. The restaurant is quite comfortable and the lunch menu seems to be economic, there are lunch specials. There are also some Japanese newspaper at the entrance.

I entered the store at the time it opens (5pm). The atmosphere was nice and quiet. I ordered myself a hot tempura soba w/ chicken katsu. The portion was enough for a grown man. The broth was very stomach warming especially when you wandered the city whole day in winter. Would love to come here again and try a different soba set.

Solid soba noodle place! The vibes were so aesthetic felt like I was in Japan again. The noodles were very good, chewy, tempura was crispy and fresh. The meal took longer to come out but the place itself is super busy, usually there's a line/ wait time. But highly recommend!!

This was a excellent stop on our NYC trip. They are broth masters and their homemade noodles we top notch. Deserving of the Michelin nod

service was quick and decor was super cute. we got the lunch special with sake don and ten don as well as a yuzu sake. everything was delicious. the only things that stuck out to me were that my small glass of yuzu sake was $10 and the salmon in the sake done as warm and tasted a little odd. overall, amazing experience and we will be back

My friend got the soba and I got the salmon bowl. The fish was so good, rice was slightly sweet. I'm judging by kazunori/sugar fish standards... great. We got chicken karaage too which was awesome- not too breaded, good amount of meat. Sake was delicious. Servers were nice and attentive. The place was a bit crowded on a Monday night but it wasn't hard to get a seat. It's popping in there but the music isn't too loud so you can still hear each other talk and have a conversation. Overall great experience and I'll definitely be back!
